Ronak Bhale is a senior at UW-Madison graduating in August 2026. His research in the Marine Robotics Lab, advised by Dr. Wei Wang, focuses on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) thrust-vectoring propulsion for marine vehicles. His work spans multiphysics simulation, bench-top validation, and system-level design. Before joining the lab, Ronak gained industry experience as a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer on Tesla’s Semi beta production line in Sparks, NV, where he worked on fixture design, poka-yoke engineering, FEA, and PLC debugging. He also completed a Reliability Engineering co-op at Sub-Zero Wolf. On campus, he has been involved with Badger Solar Racing and Formula SAE.His broader interests lie at the intersection of advanced manufacturing, robotics, and propulsion, with a particular focus on embodied systems and hardware-intensive engineering.
